Alaska's Writer Laureate, John Straley, signs books for fans. His new mystery, "The Big Both Ways", starts here in Washington State but the action moves eventually to Alaska, and the small town of Cold Storage. John would like to have this book be the start of a new series set in that town and has already finished the next book. He also has his first book of poetry, "The Rising and the Rain" coming out this Aug. from the University of Alaska Press. 5.17.08
