It is always a pleasure to come to Seattle Mystery Bookshop. Few other stores offer such a welcome, even to an unknown author like me. In my newest book, Murder in E-flat Major, my protagonist Thomas Martindale gets mixed up in a terrorist act on the Oregon Coast with the chief suspect a cellist in the local symphony orchestra. How do I think up this kind of stuff? I am not really sure but I hope readers like the odd combination of subjects.
