Last year here at the shop we were able to meet author Ernest (aka Ernie) Cline on his book tour for Ready Player One. A book which Fran and I absolutely adore (seriously it was the best book I read last year!-Amber). When we met Ernie last year I can admit to totally geeking out (Amber did at least).
Now, to prove how totally geek worthy this book is……
Ernie is running a contest for the paperback release of his book, Ready Player One.
If you can find the "Easter egg" hidden in either the pb ($14.00, Crown) or the hb ($24.00, Crown, no signed copies available, sorry!) version of the book (sorry the Easter egg is NOT included in the ebook format) it will unlock a secret gate. Ernie says it is a web address which is home to the first gate, a video game you must win in order to move onto the next level. Just like the books there are three keys which open three gates, which win you……..a DeLorean!
Seriously, he bought a DeLorean, fitted it with a flux capacitor (Back to the Future) to give away!
