Ah! So happy to be in Seattle at last! After a week of 112 degree weather through the Southwest, talking about cheerleaders, dark desires and the bad habits of teenage girls, I'm honored to return to Seattle Mystery Bookstore (first time since Left Coast Crime, many years ago!).
Lessons learned on tour so far: everyone has a cheerleader story (whether they were one, dated one, fathered one, tried out to be one), and most involve bruises, cuts, glitter, impressive feats of athleticism and occasionally big, big trouble (treachery, extreme dieting, alcopops, high drama). And now, Seattle at last, the wonderful crew at the store and a great group of customers (including authors such as David Thayer) and next: the red eye home to NYC tonight. I hope to come back again soon!
