Adele's best of 2012 in no particular order:
The Phantom and The Bat by Jo Nesbo - no surprize here
Beautiful Ruins by Jess Walter - The most beautiful book I read all year!
The Beautiful Mystery by Louise Penny - Can't wait till August when her new one comes out.
The Nightmare by Lars Kepler - I was lukewarm for The Hypnotist but this was GREAT and I can't wait for the next installment Joona Linna series.
Helsinki White by James Thompson - Hard to wait for his new Helsinki Blood coming in March
All books by Fred Vargas - The Chalk Circle Man, Seeking Who He May Devour, Have Mercy on Us All, Wash This Blood from My Hand, This Night's Foul Work, An Uncertain Place, The Three Evangelists
The Kings of Cool by Don Winslow - I loved getting the background on his Savages
The new Junior Bender series by Timothy Hallinan - Again, no surprize but this wonderful new series by Tim is smart, funny, and touching. The only one out at this point is Crashed but you can look forward to Little Elvises in January and The Fame Thief in June. Read them all, they are wonderful!
The Forgotten by David Baldacci - so good it made me go back and read Zero Day the 1st in the John Puller series. This series is a great alternative when you've read all the Lee Childs.
The Absent Ones by Jussi Adler-Olsen - Another Department Q installment, A Conspiacy of Faith, is due out in May (no arc yet but I am impatiently waiting!)
