Shop founder Bill Farley celebrates his birthday today. Here's a shot of him at our original sales counter. We're not completely sure when this was taken, but, considering the new hardcovers on display, it must be the shop's first Summer - 1990. A dead give-away is that there's empty floor space to walk around and the shelves are not so jammed as to leave the top row empty. We and the shop were all much younger - there probably wasn't any dust yet: no computer, no e-mail, no website, just Bill, his stool, a phone, and lots and lots of mysteries!
Happy Birthday, Bill! I hope you are enjoying your retirement.
