This is my fourth visit in eighteen months, and it's always a pleasure to come back to Seattle Mystery Bookshop. What makes this time special is that The Catalyst was the first thriller I ever wrote. It's only taken sixteen years since I first completed it, but now that it's on the shelves it seems like only yesterday that I wrote it. Of course, I had to revise it because little things like Google, Facebook, and smart phones didn't exist back then (no one wants to read a mid-nineties period piece). Now that it's been brought up to date, it's a fun contemporary Hitchcockian thriller about a chemistry grad student pursued by assassins and he doesn't know why.
I can't wait to come back next year for another book. Thanks to SMB for being such great hosts!
